Every woman dreams of having a man take her out on a date transported by a private jet. Little did Arlicia R. Albert know the Lord would fulfill her dream as a means of life flight transportation after suffering a near-death brain aneurysm on her mother's 72nd birthday, August 15, 2011.
Arlicia's severe aneurysm required agreement to participate in a Humanitarian Use Device (HUD) project known as "Cordis Enterprise Vascular Reconstruction Device and Delivery System – Humanitarian Use Device" conducted by Dr. Peng Roc Chen and the Neurological Research Staff of the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston. A Humanitarian Use Device is a device that is "intended to benefit patients in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases or conditions that affect fewer than 4000 individuals in the United States." This HUD was FDA-approved but experimental because there were too few patients with this type of aneurysm to allow for traditional clinical trial testing in a timely manner. By the grace of God, this experimental surgery was the vehicle the Lord would use to save Arlicia's life. Arlicia's doctors have performed this HUD on five patients; of the five patients, two of them have died, and two are in a vegetable state, AND Arlicia is the ONLY ONE that God has favored to walk and tell it!" After three brain surgeries, ten cerebral angiograms, and the insertion of a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt, Arlicia's aneurysm has been successfully repaired. After losing her grandfather, great uncle, and aunt to ruptured brain aneurysms, Arlicia put her faith into action and partnered with medical teams to help them research and find a cure to end this horrible disease. She is a case study for the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX., and the Family Research Institute of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Lord favored Arlicia with a powerful testimony to become His mouthpiece and tell the world that GOD still works miracles!

Arlicia is a vibrant military wife who serves by volunteering her gifts and talents to help military families across the globe. She has faithfully served our country alongside her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Albert (R.), who retired after proudly serving our country in the United States Army for over 36 years. The Alberts' service rendered to our country was so commendable that flags were flown over the Pentagon to honor them both.
Covered by His grace and mercy, the Alberts have built a beautiful life together, centered around their faith and family. They have raised three beautiful children, Joshua, Lyndsey, and Wendy, who have blessed them with five adorable grandchildren.
Most importantly, Arlicia is Saved, a Born-Again, Bible-believing, Spirit-filled, Resurrection-sharing believer in the Lord Jesus Christ!
